The Municipal sports center of Arta is located on the city’s east side, near the lakeside Park and the Central Bus Station.
Recently, the Municipality carried out upgrade works in the facilities of the Sports Center, which gained fresh air and a modern image. The project’s budget amounted to 290,500 euros and was financed by the Public Investment Program, while the study, the auction, and the implementation of the project were undertaken by the Municipality of Arta, with Christos Tsirogiannis as mayor.
In addition to the Indoor Gym’s renovation and maintenance, through an NSRF program, the Swimming Pool was upgraded in an energy-efficient way to operate during the winter months.
The purpose of the Municipal Sports Center is to support athletic activity in all sorts of categories: public, associations, Schools, Universities, Military, and factories. The goal is achieved by creating modern and safe infrastructures for everyday physical activity, amateur or professional.

Today the sports center includes:
-Olympic standard heated swimming pool & small learning pool. Hundreds of children swim every day.
– Indoor athletic center of 1400 seats, fully equipped.
– Municipal Stadium with new lawn & fully renovated locker rooms.

The municipal stadium complements the Municipal Sports Center and has provided a welcoming space for the teams from Arta and all over the country.
The sports facilities of the Municipality of Arta are completed with the Indoor athletic center T9 and the stadium’s operation, for approximately a year now in Kostakii.
