The church of Panagia Parigoritissa is dedicated to the Annunciation of the Theotokos. It was constructed in the late 13th century by the Despot of Epirus Nikephoros Komnenos Doukas and his wife Anna Palaiologina.
In the past it was the church of a large monastery, of which 16 cells and the Trapeza (Refectory – dining hall of the monastery) survive.
